The DC Universe will receive a yet unnamed expansion that's written by filmmaker and the co-head of DC Studios himself, James Gunn.

Aside from overseeing the new DC Studios and finishing off his work with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, this unannounced TV show is Gunn’s new newe

Unfortunately, we need to wait for a while to see what Gunn is cooking up.

DC’s TV slate is currently in flux with no clear creative path as does its much larger cinematic universe. 

For what it's worth, Gunn wants fans to keep an eye out for new developments in the next few weeks.

For now, the only ones who are aware of the future of the DC Universe is James Gunn and Peter Safran.
