Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will receive two new special events calling you to battle Cinderace and Delibird. Delibird is an Ice/Flying dual-type Pokémon first introduced in Generation 2. Cinderace, on the other hand, is a Fire-type Pokémon introduced with Generation 8, developed from Raboot. This is the latest iteration of the Scorbunny.
According to rumors, the battle between Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raid will have a festive theme and Delibird will take center stage.
The event includes one- to five-star Raid Battles, which instead of rewarding a particular Tera type, unlock several Tera Shards.

Banana + Duct Tape = Magic!
An artwork called ‘Comedian’ created by an Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan, which was recently sold for a whopping $121,000 (approximately Rs. 86.07 lakhs), has become the talk of the town.
To everyone’s surprise, the artwork was no more than a banana held to the wall with duct tape. The rather puzzling piece of art that sold for such a huge amount left the netizens scratching their heads in amazement. Things took a rather dramatic turn when performance artist David Datuna finally took the banana off the wall and ate it while the artwork was on display at an international gallery, Perrotin, at Art Basel in Miami.
However, the banana and duct tape ensemble isn’t the only outlandish work of art that has made huge bucks. Several ridiculous and weird works of art have sold for millions of dollars in the last decade. Here are some.
No more red flags
It’s a popular saying that if you look at the world through rose-tinted glasses, you might be missing out on some red flags. Gerhard Richter, a German visual artist, created a unique piece of art, which was essentially a mirror painted in red.
In October 2012, Richter’s Summary Image set an auction record price for a painting by a living artist at £21 million ($34 million, about Rs, 3.4 crores). This was exceeded in May 2013 when his 1968 piece Domplatz, Milan (Cathedral Square, Milan) sold for $37.1 million (£24.4 million, approximately Rs. 2.44 crores) in New York.
Looks like Richter wanted to paint the town red after all!
I gotta catch ’em all!
Pokemon is the global phenomenon that has taken the world by storm and in the past decade, several people have been fond of collecting Pokemon cards and tazos. However, there was a highly sought-after, coveted card that sold at auction for $224,500 (approximately Rs. 1.59 crores) according to gaming news site Kotaku.
What’s so special about the card, you ask? The card was special because it was awarded as a prize in the 1998 competitions. Only 39 of these cards were made, making them very rare.
East West home is best?
Being away from home for a long time can be quite a daunting feeling. To cure us of overwhelming feelings of homesickness, British artist Tracey Emin came up with a work of art called ‘My Bed’ in 1998.
“My bed” consisted of Emin’s bed full of dirty sheets stained with body secretions, condoms, underpants with menstrual blood stains, and everyday items such as slippers. ‘My Bed’ was purchased by Charles Saatchi for £150,000 (approximately Rs. 1.4 crore) and displayed as part of the first exhibition when the Saatchi Gallery opened its new premises Provincial HouseLondon.
Art or excrement?
If you think bizarre pieces of modern art were a rarity in the 20th century, think again. In 1961, an Italian artist Piero Manzoni created a work of art that raised several eyebrows. Dubbed, “Artist’s Shit,” Manzoni’s artwork consists of 90 cans filled with feces.
Each can weighs approximately 30 grams. The most bizarre and confusing fact about ‘Artist’s Shit’ is that a single can of the ‘artwork’ was sold on May 23 for €124,000 (approximately Rs. 97.57 lakhs) on Sotheby, one of the largest fine and decorative brokers art. , 2007.
Another can was sold in October 2008 for £97,250 (approximately Rs. 91.12 lakhs). Needless to say, the buyers spent a gigantic amount of money on… er… a piece of crap.
According to the Pokemon database website Serebii, this year’s Delibird Tera Raid event will take place from Friday, December 23 to Sunday, December 25.
Since Delibird is an Ice/Flying Pokémon, Rock types are usually the biggest weakness. However, monsters made of steel, fire and electricity can also seriously harm it. In addition, Cinderace is vulnerable to Water, Rock, and Ground-type Pokémon. Which creatures will effectively counter it depends on the moveset, which has not yet been revealed.
The next, and typically most challenging, seven-star Tera Raid battle is to capture your very own Cinderace. The Cinderace Tera Raid event will run from December 30th through January 1st and then again from January 13th through January 15th. This event features fighting against the Fighting Tera Type Cinderace, and there is also a chance to receive the Mightiest Mark, which is awarded to Pokemon that survive a seven-star Tera Raid Battle.
