I really want to like this one.
Pei ok’d OnePlus’s first two iterations of their buds and they’re meh, at best.

This is low quality journalistic work. Here are the facts against your misinformation.
1. There are more options (from Samsung, Oppo, JBL, SoundPeats, Marshall, Panasonic, Xiaomi etc.) of half ear headphones than just Apple Airpods.
2. In-ear design causes more discomfort for some people. The risk of ear infection is increased with this design and in addition to the risk of damaging your hearing, all thanks to the vacuum created by the in-ear design.
3. Both designs have their pros and cons, neither are perfect, so neither will suit everyone.
In my experience, modern half-ear headphones offer more comfort to my ears, I can wear them all day and forget I have them on. With in-ears I can wear them the longest, up to an hour with no discomfort regardless of the brand and size of the tips I use, my ear canal gets irritated and starts to hurt.
My ears may be special, but certainly not so much that I’m one of 4 people in the world, but maybe 4% of the world’s population?
That would still be a pretty large customer base, so manufacturers will continue to produce half-ear headphones regardless of a GSMArena reviewer’s opinion.

Anonymous, 07 Nov 2022Not a bad product, but not worth it for $99 I just bought Soundcore Space A40 with $100. Very good midrange pair with natural sound and long battery life. Also have a high end pair of Jabra Elite 85t. Superb model that costs 230 dollars without sales and discounts. Also have two low end pairs around 30-50 bucks. Phillips TAT2206 with good vocal but weak bass. Edifier X5 with lower vocal quality but more powerful bass.
