Apple is working on an iOS 16 update to fix an ad frame issue SKAdNetworkaccording to the company system status page. Apple says the issue started on November 3, but didn’t provide additional details.
“There is a problem with SKAdNetwork for users on iOS 16.1,” Apple says. “We are working to quickly resolve this issue in a software update.”
SKAdNetwork allows advertisers to measure ad success by assigning app installs to specific ad campaigns. In other words, advertisers know how successful an ad is in getting users to download an app from the App Store. iOS 16.1 was released two weeks ago with SKAdNetwork 4.0that provides advertisers with more performance insights, adds support for web ads, and includes other improvements.
Earlier today, we reported that Apple is preparing an iOS 16.1.1 update, which will hopefully fix this bug and a Wi-Fi randomly disconnecting issue on some iPhones. iOS 16.2 is also in beta testing and is expected to be released in December.
We have reached out to Apple for comment on the matter and will update this story if we receive additional information.
