Vital Survival Tips for New Minecraft Players
1) Your first few days are crucial
There are a few necessities when Minecraft players start in survival mode. Among them are food and a well lit shelter. Start from scratch by building a shelter from all the materials around you, be it wood from trees or at least dirt/sand blocks if no trees are present. Ideally, you’ll want wooden logs, as they can be made into wooden planks to build shelters and tables to make tools.
Once you’ve made a pickaxe out of wood, it’s best to go underground or to an area where you can find coal blocks, such as mountains or hills. Coal is vital as you can combine it with sticks to create torches to protect you from enemy mafia spawns. You can also make a kiln by mining cobblestones and using wood to melt logs into charcoal.
With a well-lit shelter, it’s time to find food. This can be obtained by killing certain animal gangs such as cows and pigs, but you can also break tufts of grass to collect seeds for a farm. With a shelter, the ability to craft tools, and a food source to keep you healthy, the real Minecraft adventure can begin.
2) Save extra torches
Minecraft worlds are dangerous places when darkness falls while enemy mobs spawn, and those aren’t the only problems. One wrong move can lead to a fatal fall when traveling through a cave or underground mine. Because of this it is always wise to keep torches available and post them often. This keeps Minecraft’s hostile mobs at bay to a significant degree and ensures that you don’t take a bad step into a dark pit.
3) Seek Safety in Mushroom Biomes
While they are not the most common Minecraft biomes, mushroom field biomes are an excellent safe place for newer players. Not only do they prevent hostile mobs from spawning, but they also provide an abundance of food sources. Brown and red mushrooms can be used to make mushroom stew, and players can even milk the roaming Mooshrooms, which also provide both milk and mushroom stew, depending on whether a bucket or bowl is used.
In addition, Mooshrooms can be killed for beef if needed, and they can be bred with wheat to ensure you don’t wipe out the population of these beautiful creatures. Mushroom fields may not have many building materials, but you will not be attacked or go hungry while living on them.
4) You can always have more storage space
Minecraft only gives as many inventory slots to use as players travel, and the time spent gathering materials and items will inevitably lead to a lack of storage space. Fortunately, players can make chests very easily by using wooden plank blocks. By creating duplicate chests, it is possible to greatly expand the available space and keep a large collection of items and blocks safe while you go about your business.
There are also special storage units such as barrels, Shulker boxesand Ender chests that can vastly improve one’s stocking situation in the near future.
5) Automation is incredibly useful
While new players may not want to play with it right away, redstone mechanics in Minecraft are incredibly rewarding. Even simple machines made with the bare minimum of materials can produce impressive results. Players can create automatic farms from just one block of space, but they save time that the player would otherwise spend manually cultivating their crops or items.
New Minecraft fans won’t want to start figuring it out redstone machines until their basic survival needs are met. However, automation is a great way to improve your resource intake once you’ve learned how it works.
6) Beware of the Nether
The Nether is a necessary location to visit to wrap up Minecraft’s story, but it’s best not to rush into it if you’re a newbie. Collect Blaze Rods Making Eyes of Ender is important to fight the Ender Dragon, but the Nether is a very dangerous place, especially for players who haven’t explored it before. It’s full of mobs with varying degrees of hostility, and there are plenty of dangers, such as deadly cliffs and random lava pits.
Before completing a Nether portal and entering the infernal Minecraft dimension, make sure you are well equipped and have enough items and blocks in your inventory to avoid dangerous situations.
7) Make sure to upgrade
Although Minecraft players will start out with wooden and stone tools, it is wise to upgrade as soon as possible. Even the difference between a stone pickaxe and an iron pickaxe is a huge improvement. The higher the quality of your tools, the more durable and effective they will become. This means more harvested materials and less travel to the work table to make additional tools.
Enchantments can further enhance quality tools if a Minecraft player has some additional experience levels and Lapis Lazuli available. With the right tools and enchantments, players can collect all the resources they need without worrying about breaking their tool for a long time.
