5 best Minecraft mob farms in November 2022

Farmer gangs in Minecraft is a great way to collect experience as well as items. However, each farm design is a little different and there are many to recreate in update 1.19.

The traditional tower mob farm still works quite effectively and not much has changed in recent patches. However, there are also plenty of other farms worth building. Players just can’t get enough of mafia farms at the end of the day, as each farm brings its own rich rewards and unique items.

It’s hard to list all the incredible mafia farm designs in one go, but it sure doesn’t hurt to take a closer look at some of the better examples. Here in update 1.19 there are more options to enjoy than ever before.

Awesome Minecraft 1.19 mob farms to take advantage of

1) Spawner mob farm

Mob spawners in Minecraft can be tricky to spot, but if a player finds one, they may want to avoid breaking it. Instead, try to light up the area around the block to make it inert, then make a mob spawner farm around it. By using liquids such as water, players can direct mobs that spawned from the block into a kill zone, where they can be defeated.

For even better results, players should place a collection system with hoppers and chests. Once the farm is done, simply remove the light sources around the spawner block and watch your helpless enemy mobs fall into the kill area to collect them.

2) Classic mobsters

The tower mafia farm has been part of Minecraft for over ten years and it still works perfectly in version 1.19. However, changes to mobs spawning in recent updates mean that players will need to modify their tower to ensure enough enemy mobs spawn to work efficiently.

The revised design uses multiple platforms that are dark enough to spawn enemy mobs, before being pushed down with water and into a kill pit.

Once the enemy mobs have fallen far enough, they land in a locked room where they can be killed in one fell swoop. Conversely, Minecraft players can also place blocks such as magma to automatically kill the mobs and make them collect.

3) Raid Farms

While Pillager raids are usually a nuisance, some crafty Minecraft players have used them as an opportunity. By keeping a lone ravager alive, a raid will continually spawn looters and other mobs nearby. This can be used to a player’s advantage by: set up a farm that either drops looters and other ravagers into a kill pit or smothers them outright.

Each raid farm has a slightly different design in Minecraft, but they all effectively harvest experience orbs and items for their creators. This is a particularly good way to collect emeralds, which can be used for trade with villagers.

4) Protective Farms

Monuments in the Ocean can be difficult to explore in Minecraft, but some players have managed to turn them into mafia farms for their inhabitants. Growing guardians is a worthwhile investment as the creatures drop prismarine crystals and fish, along with ten experience points per kill.

Most guard farms work by using bubble columns to push guards to the surface, causing them to suffocate and kill because they cannot survive outside of the water in Minecraft. These farms are one of the most profitable to gain experience due to the large amount of XP that guards provide when killed.

5) Enderman Farm

Despite being late game additions, enderman farms are great for accumulating experience points and Ender Pearls. These particular farms are usually created in the twisted forest biome of the Nether or right in the end itself. Since ender beads can be used for short-range teleportation purposes, this Minecraft farm is well worth the time and resources invested.

Although these farms have many different designs, the premise is the same: lock the endermen in a room two blocks high to prevent them from teleporting and finish them off.
